New mile stone, 250 hotels posted

A new big milestone has been reached for me; 250 hotels are now posted in my hobby blog. This thing that I started to fiddle with during Covid lockdown to keep busy (and avoid going insane), loudly encouraged by the husband and dear friend Hetty. This thing that still gives me so much joy, especially with all the great feedback that is coming my way from all of you who read it. Thanks for that, by the way! Few things make me happier than hearing back from readers who have booked a hotel after reading about it here and having loved staying there.

When reaching milestones, I always tend to go back and look at what I did and how I did it in the beginning. I realized that my texts were much shorter in the beginning. More direct and straight to the point. These days I tend to be more elaborate but hopefully not too exaggerated in my descriptions of the hotels I stay at.

Another thing I reflected on is the distribution of countries where I have stayed at the most amount of hotels. The top four are: the Netherlands with 16%, Italy with 14%, USA with 13% and Sweden with 12%. I have lived in the NL and currently living in Sweden and Italy and the US are two of my favorite countries to travel in. It is as easy as that.

In the slideshow below you’ll find some of the hotels among the last 50 that really stood out to me. If you click on the photo you’ll be directed to post of the hotel.

Thanks for all the encouraging comments and positive feedback you keep sending me. This makes me so, so happy. I hope you will continue to stick around as I continue to stay at unique hotels in new countries.
