New mile stone: 300 hotels
Another big milestone has been reached for me; 300 hotels are now posted in my beloved hobby blog. This thing that I started to fiddle with during Covid lockdown to keep busy (and avoid going insane), loudly encouraged by the husband and dear friend Hetty.
The thing is that this blog still gives me so much joy, especially with all the great feedback that is coming my way from all of you who read it. Thanks for that, by the way! Few things make me happier than hearing back from readers who have booked a hotel after reading about it here and having loved their stay.
When reaching milestones, I like to reflect on if I still like what I am doing (Yes I do! Actually even more than when I first started. Can’t imagine not having this blog) and what patterns I see when looking at what I have created thus far.
When reaching by last milestone I looked at the spread of countries that the posted hotels were located in. This time I decided to look into what cities have the largest amount of hotel represented. Do you know which is the “winner”?
Amsterdam, 16 hotels
London, 9 hotels
Copenhagen, 8 hotels
Stockholm, 7 hotels
Los Angeles, 6 hotels
Berlin, 5 hotels
In the slideshow below you’ll find some of the hotels among the last 50 (since the previous milestone was 250) that really stood out to me. If you click on the photo you’ll be directed to post of the hotel.

What you can look forward to among the next 50 hotels (yes, already have several trips lined up) is more of Italy (always!), Japan (with two especially great hotels), France, Finland, mainland Spain and Greece.
Thanks for all the encouraging comments and positive feedback you keep sending me. This makes me so, so happy. I hope you will continue to stick around as I continue to stay at unique hotels in new places and write about them here.
All the best!
